If you’re going to Thermopolis, stop searching and book Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel — it’s an absolute 5-star gem. This place feels like a romantic resort getaway, full of historic charm and cozy luxury. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, perfect for a honeymoon-style escape. The location couldn’t be better — right next to Hot Springs State Park, so you’re steps away from the famous mineral hot springs. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of options, and the staff makes you feel truly welcomed. After staying here, you won’t want to book anywhere else. Trust me — just reserve it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Staff was so accomodating to me. I was working the fire and there were literally no rooms at the per diem rate. She only had a suite with a King sized bed in the bedroom and a queen sized sofa bed in a separate room--much more than I needed. She gave it to me for per diem for two nights. Thank you so much. It was like heaven after sleeping on the ground at the old airport. This hotel also has its own hot spring if you want to just soak. Definitely the place to stay in Thermopolis. Breakfast was also free and amazing. Thanks Darla for making my stay so enjoyable.

We were skeptical after reading the reviews however this stay has turned out to be the best one for our trip. Our room was clean and very comfortable. Had the best nights sleep on the king size bed. Pool area and outside sitting areas were very much a bonus. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast. Location was fantastic be sure to checknout the free state park and bison while you are there.

This hotel is in an old building. Built in 1917. The place was renovated into a hotel. Hot tub is real hot spring water. We enjoyed it and the pool. This was a great motel. Would definitely stay here again. The bed was so comfortable I could have slept all day. The lady at the front desk was so sweet and kind.

We were pleasantly surprised based on some of the reviews. The hotel is historic, two floors, no elevator. The rooms were big and clean. They have log furniture with plenty of space for your stuff. There is a little bit of noise when people open and close their room doors. The hotel’s hot tub is filled directly from the natural hot springs, they will give you towels when using the hot tub. The breakfasts are okay. The staff is great. Everyone is efficient with their job. The grounds, pool area and sitting areas are clean.

Rooms are a little small and dated but the restrooms have been updated. The layout with the common hall does mean you will hear your neighbors leaving in the morning. Overall it’s a good place to stay with quick access to the hot springs. Staff were wonderfully accommodating.

This hotel is nestled along the river and so charming and quaint. My room was spacious and clean. It doesn’t feel like a chain hotel, more of a boutique vibe with an adorable courtyard. We took a walk to the main road for dinner and enjoyed the short tour of the town. Would love to come back!

We traveled through Thermopolis and needed a place to stay. We first went to a nearby hotel and ended up leaving due to the cleanliness state of the building & rooms. We were slightly on edge and went to Plaza Hotel next. The moment we walked in, we were greeted so welcoming. Darla helped us out tremendously with booking & her hospitality. She saved us at a pinch and could not thank her enough. The hotel service, staff and rooms made us so relieved. Next time we are out that way, we will be staying there again.
